Some Valentine finishing and a new start planned

Happy Friday everyone! Almost the weekend! Well, I seem to have had one of those weeks when all I’ve done is putter around and flit from one thing to another. Whilst I was doing that though I came across several Valentine pieces that I’d stitched last year and never got round to finishing. I reckoned that I really needed to get my act together and not have another year go by so, as a result of sitting down yesterday afternoon and having a finishing session, here they are……

First off is this one, an older Goode Huswife, Valentine Sampler, using the suggested DMC but I have to admit I’ve no idea what fabric I used!! If I was taking a guess it looks like it could be a 32ct lambswool.

Then this little one, a Prairie Schooler design using a NN thread, Elderberry Wine on 28ct R&R Oyster Mist.

Prairie Schooler from the leaflet From the Heart

In amongst all my puttering around I did start on my February Christmas ornament, this one…..

BBD Merry Christmas from the Merry December booklet using suggested threads on 30ct R&R Iced Cappuchino

And last but not least, I made up my mind about what my next project is going to be. Another one that’s been in my stash for more years than I care to admit too but one which I think will be perfect to work on in the month of February…….

CHS Hearts and Flowers using lakeside 32ct examplar

Okay, that's it from me for this time. Hope everyone has a good weekend!
Until next time ....

What lovely finishes! I especially like the GH one, but they're both sweet.

Love your new start - I haven't stitched any of their stockings yet but plan to this year! The CHS design is gorgeous - I stitched it a while back and it's one of my favourites. You've got some beautiful design choices there!

Love all of these Lois. I really like the Goode Huswife and the Hearts and Flowers from CHS . There are a few Goode Huswife ones that I would like to do , but they're hard to get ahold of. I am glad to see that she is re-releasing some.

Oh I know what you mean, Lois, about puttering around. Me too! But I see you came to your senses and did a wonderful job with finishing! Seeing I'm a GH fan I'm partial to that one!

Love your new start and looking forward to seeing your new Heart stitched.

Oh Lois, so many wonderful pieces. I just love the GH, I hope this is one she will re-release and your PS is just darling!

Congrats on starting your Feb ornament. I have yet to make a single 'x' this month (sigh). And your new start is a favorite of mine as well and like Margaret, I have yet to stitch it.

I hope you have a wonderful, relaxing weekend.

What fantastic finishes. I especially love the GH one. And I like your new start for February. You've just reminded me that I started this one a long time ago and never finished it. This would be the perfect time to do so.

Perfect February finishes, Lois! You did a wonderful job on both...

I also just purchased that Blackbird December stockings chart and love your WIP--it is on my list for one of my monthly ornament finishes.

Hope your weekend is relaxing (and not too snow filled like ours is going to be!)...

I love Goode Huswife patterns and would like to stitch this one so badly. Would you consider a trade? I don't have your email address....but if not, could you send me a list of the DMC colors you used or the pattern asked for? pjstitcher@mchsi.com....thank you so much. Love to read your blog. pj
