Some BBD time.....

Hi everyone! Well, not too much stitching going on around here but as it’s been almost two weeks since I blogged I thought I’d drop in and let you see what I have been working on when I’ve had the chance….. This is the Birds and Berries Needlebook from BBD’s A Stitcher’s Journey. I’m stitching this on some linen from my stash. All I can tell you is that it’s a 32ct, it has the feel of Lakeside and has a pinkish tone to it! I’m using the suggested thread colours (a mix of Crescent Colours and Sampler Threads) and liking how the muted mauves and pinks are stitching up on it. Such a pretty project to have on the go and I’m loving my BBD ‘fix’! We’ve had some wonderful Spring weather lately, lots of sunshine and you can literally see everything growing in the garden, including the weeds!!!! DH cut the grass last weekend to much grumbling – it is not his favourite job – but it really needed to be done even if it was only the start of April! Now it’s up to me to get out there and pull up the weeds! Hope all is well in your part of the world and, if it is Spring, that you are enjoying some warmer temperatures and sunnier days. Thanks for dropping by! Until next time …..

Your gorgeous choice of linen looks like it was made just for this project, the colours of the threads compliment it perfectly, so so pretty, I can see why it is a joy to stitch on.
Totally enjoying this mini heatwave but looks like the days are numbered here in the South and the rain returns tomorrow ~ YUK!

How pretty, Lois! I love the soft colors in this one--your needlebook will be just beautiful. And that is a great group of sage green buttons you have there, too (I love buttons!).

We will be needing to mow our lawn this week, too--no more lazy weekends now that spring has sprung!

Birds and Berries is lovely! I like the pinkish linen...with the mauves, pinks and purples it reminds me of something my grandmother would love. She adored purples and pinks! Maybe I will have to stitch this up in honor of her!

Beautiful stitching!

Stitching sounds like more fun than weeding to me. And stitching that lovely design on that beautiful linen is even more fun. Looking forward to seeing this one progress!

Beautiful stitching!

My DH has to do the last grass cutting for the season and is still grumbling about it and the grass has still not been cut. Funny how they are all the same!

That is so pretty, Lois! I am anxious to stitch something from this book, too.

LOL about the garden stuff. DH cut the grass last week and it looks like a jungle already--a jungle full of dandelions!
