The latest stitching that's been going on around here

Hi everyone!  Time for an update I think!  I was so close to finishing Quaker Christmas Tree Sampler when I ran out of thread.  The closer I was getting to finishing this one the more I knew it was going to be tight but was keeping my fingers crossed that I’d have enough.  Not so.  I ran out when I’d only one motif left to stitch!!!! So, had to wait a few days until I was able to buy another skein but here it is, all finished.

Stitched on 32ct BOAF Sandpiper using suggested DMC

In taking so long to do a blog post I do have some other things to share.  First of all, I received these back from Deb at Artistic Needle and once again she’s done a wonderful job.  The LHN one is the ornament I stitched in July and the PS one was stitched in September.
LHN Silent Night  and PS Welcome from Book #48 A Christmas Visit
Next up, the November pillow from Nikyscreations Primitive Calendar. I enjoyed stitching this one. Those squirrels are definitely doing a happy dance at finding these acorns!
Nov pillow stitched on 32ct vintage country mocha using suggested DMC

And finally, the latest BBD LF chart has popped through my letter box so I’m looking forward to picking this one up again.

Until next time!

Lovely stitching. The Quaker Tree is such a nice design... and lucky you that the new skein match in color.. dye lots can differ sometimes, even of DMC.

Those bunnies are the cutest!

Your latest finishes are gorgeous! I especially love the Quaker Christmas Tree Sampler. It's frustrating to run out of thread and then to have to wait. And worry if the dye lot is similar.

Whew! So glad you were able to come up with the extra floss, Lois! And I'm glad you were using DMC for this one--sometimes those overdyeds are so difficult to find a good match. Your Tree Sampler is lovely--haven't seen this one before...

And how cute are those ornaments!! I think I feel a new PS ornament start calling to me after seeing your little Santa Welcome! Those are the funniest squirrels on your November pillow--I just love the way they seem to be dancing about :)

Enjoy your new portion of the BBD Loose Feathers chart and have a wonderful weekend, my friend!

Dear Lois,
your Quaker tree is amazing - I love it. I think I should put it on my stitching list for next year!
Your three ornament-finishes are darling.
I am so much looking for seeing the Autumn part of the BBD LF stitched. I also have got chart already, but I am afraid, I will not manage stitching it before New Year.
Enjoy stitiching it!

Hugs
Hilda

Oh, I love your Quaker Christmas finish! So pretty. And your ornaments are beautiful! What a cute pillow finish - those dancing squirrels crack me up! Love the BBD pieces - but I am still confused. There are three patterns, summer and fall are out. What will the final one be, winter or spring?

You have done some lovely stitching, Lois once again! I really love your Quaker Christmas Tree Sampler and the colours are so beautiful! It must have been so frustrating, running out of the thread to finish that last motif! Deb's finishing of your ornaments is just perfect for your beautiful ornaments!
