Christmas Garden and a new one in the mix....

Hi everyone!  Life has been a bit crazy round here this last week so it's been longer than I intended before I blogged again.  I've hardly lifted a needle in the past week and I am missing that (while I stitch because I love doing it there is no doubt it can also be a great stress reliever when I need it!).  My parents have had a few issues this week, at 94 and 89 they still live in their own home and want to continue doing that for as long as they can.  However, this week something that the rest of us would take in our stride turned into something that seemed to knock them sideways so they’ve been my priority.

Okay, stitching, that’s what I’m here to chat about.  First up, here’s where I’m too on Christmas Garden
(yikes, I did iron this before taking a pic but goodness, it doesn't look like I did!!!)

The large middle motifs are next up for me to stitch. I’ve been undecided as to whether to stitch the wording at the bottom or not.  I was leaning more towards leaving the wording section out but having seen Katrina’s alphabet idea……well, I just love that and might do something similar.

Remember at the end of last year, I said that I wasn’t going to tie myself down to more than one monthly stitching commitment this year?  That idea didn’t last long! Turns out I’ve missed having something other than just a Christmas-related thing each month and I went back to an idea that had been going round in my head towards the end of last year.

I’ve started this one….
PSS Halloween Hornbook Sampler on 32ct salamander Elne of Lynnyn using the suggested DMC

I’m planning on stitching a block each month so that by the time we get to Halloween I should have this one completed.

And that’s about it for this time.  As always, thanks for your continued visits and comments.  For now I have turned off the word recognition thing for leaving comments (at least I think I have, if I haven’t can someone please let me know!).  I know I’m not alone in finding the new system frustrating!

Until the next time…..

Christmas Garden update......

Hi everyone!  After several days stitching on Christmas Garden my intention was to put it to one side and spend some time on BBD LF Autumn but well, that just hasn’t happened …..

This one is just too difficult to put down …..

So, any stitching since last time I blogged has been on this one.

I think I’m going to need a Christmas Garden ‘fix’ for a little while longer, I’m not ready to put this one to one side just yet.   Once again, my plans for rotation take a back seat!

Until next time ……
