Christmas Garden on a Sunday afternoon

Hi everyone!  So, there I was, happy as a daisy this afternoon as I’d finished the first of the large motifs on Christmas Garden and figured I’d run the iron over it, take a picture and share my progress.
BBD Christmas Garden on 32ct LL light examplar using suggested Crescent Colours
Then I go and get the pictures uploaded on to the computer, take a closer look and realise that one motif is not quite finished – I’ve missed two stitches!!!  Look closely at the flower motif on the left hand side with the CC Fool’s Gold on the outside. Notice anything?!??!  There should be two more stitches on that flower!   I’ll do them later.  At least I noticed them now!

Not sure if I’ll stitch the other large motif under this one or just keep working along this top section.

Thanks everyone for your lovely comments about the situation with my parents.  This past week things have been somewhat better so I’m hoping that they are now over this little hiccup and can put it behind them.

And before I go, my friend Mary has recently started blogging. You can visit her at All My Scattering Moments or click on the link in my blog list.  Do drop by, say hello, welcome her to the blogging world and enjoy her wonderful stitching!

Until next time…..

It's looking lovely! Just two stitches isn't a big deal -- good you caught them though. I hope your parents are doing better now as well -- fingers crossed!

It's looking wonderful. Good thing that you caught the stitches, but to tell you the truth - I've done that and haven't discovered it until it was framed. I don't think anyone was the wiser but me!!

It's looking really beautiful Lois!! I adore the motifs in this one and the soft colours. Can't see the missing stitches, but I'm glad you caught them! It's funny because that's happened to me too when you take a photo then you notice the mistake!!

Hope the parents are okay!

It's funny what you've said about the photo. There have been times I've looked and double checked to be sure everything is there. Then I'll take a picture for my blog and the missing stitches are glaringly obvious! I have to say that I took me some time to find the missing stitches on your piece. It's not obvious at all.

I am admiring your beautiful stitching on 'Christmas Garden'. Recently I saw the design in my LNS and fell in love with it.

Dont' worry about those two little forgotten stitches...you can pick them up easily, and actually it isn't that noticeable unless you look closely.

Blessings!

It is beautiful. Glad you spotted the missing stitches, it would have been annoying to find them when it was too late to do anything about them

It's looking wonderful, Lois! It's funny about missing the stitches as I think we've all done that. Sometimes you have to stand way back before you see those details!

Take care!

Lois, I just love how this is coming along! Nothing like looking at it in full screen glory to draw your eye right to any flaws. Can't wait to see what you move on to next!

So glad to hear the rough patch has smoothed out for your parents. It's always a constant worry, and you never know what might trip them up.

And thank you for the lovely introduction to the blogging world! I'm enjoying it all so much.

CG is gorgeous so far!! If you hadn't said anything about the missing stitches I would have never known. Glad you caught them in time though.
My fabric and silks have arrived for my start but I have too many other things on the go right now so it will have to wait.

I'm glad to hear your parents are doing better. Now I'm off to check out Mary's blog.

Your Christmas Garden is just so beautiful. Glad you saw those two missing stitches now and not later on.

Beautiful, beautiful piece, Lois! And far better to notice the missing stitches before it's framed. In my January ornament, I didn't notice that I had forgotten to stitch the chimney until I put the already finished ornament photo up on my blog! Oh, well, too late now :)

Hope your weather is warming up over there--it will be 65 here on Thursday!! I think spring is really on its way :)

Wonderful progress on your Christmas Garden! I changed the thread palette in mine, but now I feel I wish I didn't. I'm trying to be diligent with this one to finish by next our stitch meeting, but getting distracted by so many other stuff around here. BTW, I enjoy your "pins" on Pinterest ;)
