Hi everyone! First of all, thanks for all the encouragement last time round when I was feeling like I was making such slow progress on
. I especially liked Mary’s thoughts of how I should look on it as a journey. She is so right! So, from here on in I’m not going to be so hard on myself for feeling like I’m being slow but just enjoy the journey (and you will all know that when I do put the final stitches in this one I’ll be sad that I’m no longer working on it!). And having talked about said Christmas Garden ….. Christmas Garden
Now that the lower large motif is completed I can really see it all coming together (and that I should have ironed it better before taking pics!!!) and it also makes me realise just how much I have stitched!
My friend Margaret has recently finished a quilt as a wedding gift. I’ve watched this gorgeous quilt come together these last few months and when I saw it completed it was one of those ‘should have had my camera with me’ moments so had to make do with my (very old!) phone instead and take a quick picture. The bride had been asked if she’d any preference in colours and said blue but other than that everything else was to be a surprise. Just beautiful and I’ve since heard that the bride and groom were thrilled with it.
There’s a huge part of me that would love to quilt. I dabbled years ago, before I starting stitching, but so far I’ve kept myself in check about starting another addiction!!
Until next time……
