Another week rolls around.....

Good morning everyone!  Another Monday rolls around and this is the one that feels as though we’re leaving summer behind with all schools having now started their new year.  My three are long past this stage but with a husband who works in education there is still that feeling of starting off again.

For a change, no progress pics on A Sampler Story. That one I’m planning on picking up again later on today now that we’re into a new month. Instead, I’ve enjoyed a week of stitching on Sheepish Designs Simple Elegance….

I feel like this one is really coming together and hopefully, I’ll have a finish to report by the end of the month.  There is some filling in coming up. These two sheep need some grass to lie on and eat!

I don’t feel like I’ve been too successful at making progress in the SAL for BN’s Lo How a Rose over on Instagram.  Somehow my Wednesdays turned into busier days and stitching was a little limited (and I was the one who suggested Wednesday for stitching!!).  Hopefully that should change from here on in and my needle can go a little bit faster.  I’m stitching this one on 32ct Antique White Belfast linen and using a mix of the suggested overdyeds and DMC.

And, if I needed any proof that the seasons were changing.  Going outside this morning, I saw this in our garden…..

I don’t remember the leaves having started to change last week, this week a completely different story!!

Hope all is well with you and yours. If they’re starting school, or starting back to school, I hope they settle in well!

Until next time…..

I think you've made great progress on the SAL! Not to worry.....there's still time. I do love the start of fall and enjoy the back to school feelings even though I don't have my own classroom anymore. There are so many wonderful things about this time of year! Enjoy my friend!

I love your Sheepish Designs piece -- so beautiful! Lo How a Rose looks great too! Hope your Wednesdays start being less busy. How did fall come so soon? I'm not ready.....

I've always liked this time of year for the reasons that you mention Lois. I used to teach primary school and it was always full of promise for the year ahead with a new class. Every year, around now, I used to go out and buy wool to knit something for myself to wear.

Lois, I love the two pieces you are stitching! I've stitched Lo already and know it's got such lovely colours. Now I have to find my Sheepish one.

Yes, the autumn weather seems to have arrived here too. Today it is raining after two lovely sunny days!

Lovely stitching Lois! The samplers you are working on are just beautiful and I really like the color choices! So far we are still HOT but I can always dream about Fall LOL. I am a teacher and even though I am home with my children now there is just something about September!!!! Happy Stitching!

Like you, I no longer have kids in school. Labor Day weekend really feels like the close if summer and the beginning of the ramp up to the holiday season. Fall is a long way off for us - wish we got beautiful fall color like you do!

Good afternoon Lois! What fun to see the first blush fo autumn from your garden! Sadly, it's still a long way off for us, but I do love to see the seasons change.

Simple Elegance is looking wonderful! So glad you're finally able to settle back in with your projects.

Two pretty designs. I feel the same way about Spring starting here in OZ. One week it was wintry cold the next the blossoms are out, birds are singing and the weather is warm!

Your stitching looks beautiful! Isn't it interesting that all of a sudden things seem to start to change color?

Love your stitches! My boys go back to school tomorrow ~ I'm ready to get back to a more structured routine, but am also sad to see another summer end.

Both your WIPs are looking great. I'm a big fan of Sheepish Designs and it's a pity that they don't design any more. But I think I have said this a couple of times already.
We can also feel the autumn is around the corner - the nights and mornings are very cool already, sometimes even cold, and in the mornings our heating is on. But I love autumn.

Simple Elegance has such soft, pretty colors! Nice progress on Lo How a Rose too. Haven't seen any obvious signs of fall around here yet, but I'm not really in any hurry for it. :)

Oh, Lois, the Sheepish Designs piece is getting prettier and prettier! I'm sure you'll have a finish to report very soon...

Love your progress on the other piece as well--such soft and pretty colors.

Fall is here, too--much cooler nights and even some leaves to rake. I'm hoping for some nice sunny days still :)

I have taken my Lo How out two times now, since you have been posting about your SAL. Haven't STITCHED on it, but have looked at it... You are making great progress on both projects! You will settle into a stitching habit soon! Hugs!

Lo is looking so beautiful!! I need to gather the threads and fabric soon and try to catch up. Hopefully I'm not missing colours..although I usually am. Love the Sheepish design too!

Your stitching looks marvelous, as usual!
No fall here yet in northwest Georgia, however, cooler temps are
predicted for next week.
